Brittney Nickerson is the author of the short story “Lost Shoes,” as well as the creator of all content on the blog Sojourner Soul. 

She was born and raised in a small town deep in the woods of Maine with the remnants of a junkyard in her family’s backyard. Years of digging glass coke bottles out of the dirt inspired her down a path of archaeology, anthropology, and ethnographic research. Her studies enable her deep curiosity and love for understanding the human experience, which she channels into her writing. 

She continues to live in Maine, and when she is not exploring new stories, she is often found exploring the wilderness.
